Palmar is a directional indicator of a part of the anatomy or a term denoting the location which pertains to the palm or grasping side of the hand. It means or stands for the location of a disease or disorder – for example palmar erythema is reddening of the palms of the hands, palmar hyperhidrosis is sweating of the palms of the hands, palmar warts are warts on the palms of the hands, and palmar fibromatosis refers to or denotes nodular fibroblastic proliferation in the palm of one or both hands.
