Calcium Glubionate
Calcium Glubionate is used to manage calcium deficiencies. Calcium is a mineral that is found in foods. It is necessary for most normal functions of the body, particularly formation and maintenance of the bones. Calcium may also bind to other minerals – for instance phosphate – and help in their removal from the human body.
Calcium Glubionate or any antacids with calcium should not be taken without first talking to the physician especially if you take other medications. Aluminum can decline effects of many drugs by binding with them or by altering the acidity in the stomach or urine. Calcium should be taken with meals in order to raise its absorption by the body.
Prior to taking this medication, it is important to tell your physician if you: have had any kidney stones; have any disorder of the parathyroid gland; and are taking a such as doxycycline (Monodox, Vibramycin, Doxy), tetracycline (Achromycin V, Sumycin), demeclocycline (Declomycin), oxytetracycline (Terramycin), and minocycline (Dynacin, Minocin).
