Bulbourethral Gland
Bulbourethral Gland also known as Cowper’s gland is one of two glands that are small and located in the reproductive system of males.
They are found at the base of the penis near the urethra between 2 layers of fascia. These glands are the size of a pea. Slowly they will get smaller as a male gets older. They consist of numerous lobules kept together by fiber.
During arousal sexually each of the glands produces a clear fluid referred to as pre-ejaculate. This fluid assists with lubricating the urethra in order for sperm to pass thru. It also aids in cleaning out any dirt or urine.
